Since 2013, the Indian men’s cricket team has not prevailed in an ICC competition. Ian Bishop, a former bowler for the West Indies, thinks they stand a decent chance of winning the 2023 World Cup.
Bishop claimed that India would have a home advantage in the competition, which would be a big influence, in an interview with RevSportz. He added that players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul make up India’s potent batting lineup.
You have a better chance, in my opinion, because you are more familiar with the circumstances than anyone else, Bishop said. “Even though some of the seam bowling options could be improved, from a batting standpoint, there is so much dynamism and so many different options they know the conditions.”
He continued by saying that now is the ideal time for India to reverse the situation. He stated, “I believe this is as good a time as any for India to solidify its position and win an ICC title.”
One of the favourites to win the 2023 World Cup will be India, but they will have it tough against teams like Pakistan, England, Australia, and New Zealand. India would be a difficult squad to defeat if they can perform to their full ability.
