On his return to international cricket, Team India captain Jasprit Bumrah claimed two wickets in his first over.

After almost a year, Bumrah made a comeback and bowled a spectacular over to remove Andy Balbirnie (4) and Lorcan Tucker (0). Sanju Samson caught Tucker when Balbirnie was being bowled.

Bumrah earlier chose to bowl first against Ireland after winning the toss. Before the game, Rinlu Singh and Prasidh Krishna received their first caps.

Ireland’s starting lineup is Paul Stirling (captain), Andrew Balbirnie, and Lorcan Tucker (wk). Harry Tector 4, Five Curtis Campher, George Dockrell (n. 6), Seven Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, Craig Young, Josh Little, and Ben White round out the list.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is ranked first, followed by Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson (wk), Tilak Varma, and Five Rinku Singh, Six Shivam Dube Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Jasprit Bumrah (captain), and Prasidh Krishna are the remaining players.
