CLEVELAND – – Mitch Trubisky said Tuesday he realized he needed to get youngster wide collector George Pickens more engaged with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense.

He did only that late in the main quarter when he let it tear to Pickens streaking down the sideline before the Cleveland Browns seat.

Pickens, who had only two gets for 26 yards entering Thursday’s down, pulled in the 36-yard gathering with a one-gave snatch, getting the ball against his body as he hit the ground. It didn’t make any difference that he was strictly confidential by Martin Emerson Jr., Pickens actually made the challenged get. The 36-yard consummation was the Steelers’ longest pass play this season.

The catch set the Steelers’ offense ready to score on a 5-yard Najee Harris score run a couple of plays later, tying the game 7-7 and showing the sort of hostility and dangerousness the unit needed the initial fourteen days.
