In game six of the Asia Cup 2023, Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by a slim margin of two runs to determine which teams would proceed to the Super 4 rounds. On Wednesday, the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 stage will begin, with Pakistan hosting Bangladesh at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
With victories over Nepal in Group A, both Pakistan and their longtime foe India qualified for the Super 4. Due to bad weather, the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan league stage match was called off, earning each side one point. The defending champions, Sri Lanka, claimed the top spot in Group B on Tuesday with a nail-biting two-run victory over Afghanistan and a five-wicket victory over Bangladesh.
In their first Super 4 game on Saturday in Colombo, Sri Lanka will take on Bangladesh while riding a stunning 12-match winning streak in ODI cricket. India will play Pakistan once more in one of the Super 4 stage’s key matches on Sunday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Pakistan will play Sri Lanka on Thursday, September 14, after India plays Sri Lanka in the following match on Tuesday, September 12, in Colombo. On Friday, September 15, India will play Bangladesh in Colombo to conclude the Super 4 stage. The top two teams from the Super 4 stage will compete in the Asia Cup 2023 final on September 17 in Colombo.
