In the 47th match of PKL 2022, U Mumba defeated Bengal Warriors 36-25 and made a tremendous jump in the points table from eighth to fifth position. This is the fourth loss for Bengal Warriors in 8 matches and they have slipped to the seventh place.
Maninder Singh did not play against U Mumba in PKL 2022
After the first half, U Mumba took a 21-13 lead in the match. For U Mumba, Captain Surinder Singh and Rinku performed brilliantly in the defence. Surinder took 4 and Rinku took 3 tackle points. Captain Maninder Singh and Shrikant Jadhav did not impress much for Bengal Warriors and could take only 4-4 raid points. Bengal Warriors’ team was also all out, due to which they fell behind by 8 points.
In the second half too, U Mumba maintained their lead and eventually won by a huge margin of 11 points. Ashish, who came as a substitute for U Mumba, performed well in the match and took 8 raid points. Rinku and Mohit completed the high 5 in the defense and gave a big blow to the raiders of Bengal Warriors. Rinku took 8 and Mohit took 7 tackle points in the match.
Bengal Warriors captain Maninder Singh was a flop in the match and could only take 6 raid points. For Bengal, only Srikant Jadhav did well and took 9 points in the match including 8 raids and a tackle point but could not save the team from a one-sided defeat. In defense, only Balaji D could impress for Bengal Warriors and he took 4 tackle points.
