Second win for Patna Pirates in PKL 2022 changes the points table
After the first half, the team of Patna Pirates was ahead 13-11 in the match. Patna’s team took an early lead and maintained it till the end of the first half. Rohit Gulia took the maximum 5 raid points in the first half for Patna. Sachin took three raid points. Monu took three tackle points in the defence.
Surinder Gill 3 and Pardeep Narwal could take only 2 raid points from UP Yoddha. UP Yoddha captain Nitesh Kumar impressed in the defense and took three tackle points.
The start of the second half was very good for Patna Pirates and they strengthened their lead in the match by getting UP Yoddha all out in the 23rd minute. However, after this UP Yoddha made a surprise comeback and Pardeep Narwal completed the Super 10 to level the score at 23-23 before the break. During this, Patna’s team was also all out. After the break, in the next five minutes, Patna Pirates again took a 2 point lead and the score was 27-25.
Two minutes before the end of the match, UP Yoddha again reduced the score to 28-28, but in the last minute, the team of UP Yoddha was all out due to Sachin’s Super 10 and Patna’s lead became one-sided. After this, UP Yoddha did not get a chance to return and they lost the match by 5 points.
Sachin took 11 raid points for Patna Pirates, while Rohit Gulia took 7 raid points. In defense, Monu and captain Neeraj Kumar took three tackle points each in the match. Apart from Pardeep, all the players were flops from UP Yoddha. Surinder Gill could bring only 4 raid points, while captain Nitesh Kumar did not move in the second half after taking three tackle points in the first half.
