There was conflicting news regarding the death of Iran President Dies Ebrahim Raisi via a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan province on Sunday. The helicopter carrying Iran President Ebrahim Raeesi and his foreign minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian vanished over a mountainous area.

The state television in Iran also reported that they saw “no sign of life” among passengers of the helicopter. # When they got to the helicopter there was not a single person in the bicycle alive as yet according to state TV.
This comes as more regional tensions are being faced especially after the Gaza conflict and Iran increased tensions against Israel. Raisi has been Iranian president since 2021, and Iran has been an impervious supporter of Palestine, a position that he reiterated during the dam inauguration speech.
On Sunday media outlests linked to the Iranian government showed videos of the leader on the helicopter. Iran reports: Ayatollah Khamenei sits next to the pilot while Foreign Minister Abdollahian seats opposite him.
